Hungry thieves target Batley takeaway delivery driver

A MAN from Batley was robbed whilst out working as a delivery driver for a Cleckheaton takeaway. 

The incident took place on Birkenshaw Lane in Bradford, where the Batley man was approached by two men as he arrived with a fast food order.

The pair threatened him with a bladed weapon and stole food he was carrying. They ran off leaving the man unharmed.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident which took place at 11:20pm on Birkenshaw Lane, on March 3 to come forward.

The first suspect was described as white and in his late 30s, 6ft tall, medium build, short brown hair and clean shaven.  He was wearing black jeans, a blue and white tracksuit top and trainers on the night of the incident. He was said to be scruffy in appearance and smelling of alcohol.

The second suspect was described as white, 5ft 3, and slim. He was wearing a black balaclava, black jeans and a black jacket.
