Dewsbury woman kidnapped in Pakistan

A WOMAN from Dewsbury has gone missing whilst on a shopping trip in Lahore Pakistan.

Ayesha Ali, 22, from Dewsbury was visiting the country for a family wedding. But she went missing whilst shopping at Liberty Chowk market in Lahore.

Police fear that she may have been kidnapped and that she is possibly being held for ransom by a criminal gang.

Ayesha had been staying with relatives in Mirpur, Kashmir and was visiting the market in Lahore with her sister and brother-in-law, who say she was out of sight for only a matter of minutes.

Her brother-in-law Abdul Ali-Rauf said: “She came to Pakistan a few weeks ago and was planning to leave for UK in next few days. She did not have passport, cash or any other document with her at the time of disappearance.

“She went missing in minutes when she told her sister to wait for her in a shop and she went to collect her purse from their car.”
