ANTICIPATION for the next James Bond continues to grow. It’s been almost four years since 007’s last outing in Quantum of Solace, but Skyfall the 23rd Bond film will be released on 26 October.
A further more detailed trailer has been released today. It provides the first glimpse of Q played by Ben Whishaw and more importantly the first look at Javier Bardem as the Bond villain Raoul Silva.
The trailer also uncovers more of the plot, details of which thus far have been vague. Check out the trailer below;
The trailer hints at a return of many aspects of Bond that had been stripped down or away since the rebooting of the franchise with Casino Royale. The return of gimmicky gadgets, the iconic one liner’s such as “Name is Bond, James Bond”, the femme fatale and of course the iconic Bond theme.
The film will be Daniel Craig’s third outing as 007 whilst Sam Mendes is in the director’s chair. James Bond was recently involved in the Olympic opening ceremony, featuring in a tongue in cheek segment where Craig as Bond visits the Queen before whisking her away on a chopper to be “parachuted” into the Olympic stadium.
This along with the new trailer has heightened the anticipation for the next Bond film which will mark the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
