CHARITY Islamic Relief have been carrying out fund raising activities across the region, in aid of the Syrian crisis appeal.
A bazaar was held at the Bangldeshi Community Centre on Roundhay Road in Leeds, which helped raise over £4,200.
Volunteer Huma Nazir said: “It’s such a huge crisis, so many people have been left without homes and displaced. They need our help.”
Islamic Relief have been holding fund raising activities across the region. Last Saturday they raised around £620 in donations outside a supermarket in Dewsbury.
A Concert will also be held on April 4 in Bradford to raise more money for the Syrian crisis appeal.
Islamic Relief is a member of the Disaster Emergency Committee working alongside the UN and International Red Cross.
