THIS Friday the Federation of Disability Sports Organisation- FDSO will be holding its 18th annual celebration.
Recognising the sporting achievements of people with disabilities from the region. FDSO has gathered nominations from across Yorkshire and Humber for 13 different categories of awards, ranging from Young Achiever to Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year to School and team of the year.
Coaches contribution to disability sport will also be recognised.
Chief Executive of FDSO, Kevan Halliday-Brown said, “The Annual Awards Dinner is an acknowledgement of the high achievement of so many people not just as successful athletes but also those who work so hard to make this possible.”
Speaking at the event will be Mike Brace, CBE, who has participated for Great Britain at five Winter Paralympics and was Chairman of Paralympics GB between 2001-2008.
The event will also be attended by Emmerdale actors Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop.
